Dear Carrom Friends,
It is very tough for us to write such an email.
As you know the situation in Poland and all over the Europe is difficult today. The coronavirus pandemic is growing. Our government has implemented the quarantine and lock down procedures. Since last week all polish borders are closed for foreigners and all public events are being cancelled. Last Friday polish government has change the status of our country to "epidemic" and extended the lock down procedures (schools, gastronomy, shopping-malls, people gatherings etc) till Easter and regarding all cultural and entertaining events until further notice.
It is very hard to predict if and when the situation will cool down.Therefore, we have no other choice but to announce that the organisation of "24th Carrom Eurocup 2020" is suspended. This means that we suspend the registration process and the collection of fees for 3 weeks (till 10th of April). The situation is beyond our control and day by day becomes more and more complicated to organize the Carrom Eurocup in Poland in a way we planned. If the situation does not significantly change by that time, unfortunately we will have to cancel this year's Carrom Eurocup.
We recommend that all federations should inform the players about the situation and ask people not to buy any air tickets now. However, we encourage you to practice a lot of carrom at home and take care of yourself and close ones.
By the 10th of April we will inform you about the final decision regarding 24th Carrom Eurocup in Poland.
